After DSK Hyosung, now people will be hearing a new name attached to the DSK group. Although, the DSK Hyosung is not going anywhere, but the new name will shows the tie up with an Italian motorcycle manufacturer company, i.e. DSK Benelli. It is one of the oldest motorcycle manufacturers of Italy, as it was being founded in the year 1911. A few days back we have informed you about the tie-up of the duo; DSK Motowheels and Benelli, now, today morning they have come-up with a new name as DSK Benelli. Both the companies have merged with each other in order to create a successful history in Indian two-wheeler industry.
The Benelli has showcased total five products from its portfolio. These models include naked sports, sports-tourer, adventure and faired motorcycles ranging from 300 cc up to 1130cc engine displacement. At the launching event, the firm has announced that they will be bringing up the products via the CKD and the motorcycles will get assembled at the DSK Motowheels manufacturing facility, located near Pune. Apart from all these things, the most highlighted and anticipated motorcycle in the Italian's portfolio is the BN 302, a naked sports motorcycle. And, along with that the cherry over the cake is that the company is not only coming with entry-level motorcycles, but also planning to introduce the higher range of motorcycles.
The BN 302 will be making its appearance as naked street-fighter motorcycle powered by a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin, DOHC engine with an engine displacement of 300cc. The power plant is capable to generate a total power of 37BHP and a peak torque of 27.1 Nm. The name of the showcased motorcycles are BN 302, BN 600 GT, BN 600 I, TNT 899 and TNT 1130R. Out of these five motorcycles, the TNT 1130 R is equipped with 1130cc displacement engine, generating a total power of 157.8BHP and a peak torque of 120Nm. Besides this, the DSK is planning to open up 20 new showrooms by the end of the coming year, and also mentioned that 8 showrooms will be started in the month of January, 2015.
The DSK Benelli hasn't announced the products with which they will be coming in India, but it seems that the motorcycles, which the firm has showcased will definitely go on sale in the coming year. The prices and the remaining technical details will be revealed at the official launching event of the motorcycles.
