Ducati has launched the Multistrada 1260 Enduro in India. The adventure tourer is being offered in two colour options with different pricing. The Ducati Red colour scheme is priced at INR 19.99 lakh while the Sand colour option will cost you INR 20.23 lakh. If its pricing is compared with the replaced model, the Enduro 1200 (INR 18.03 lakh), it is dearer by INR 1.96 lakh. While in comparison with the standard Multistrada 1260 which priced INR 17.8 lakh, it is costlier by INR 2.2 lakh. All the mentioned prices are applicable across India.
In Ducati lineup, the Multistrada Enduro was first introduced in 2016. It is the more off-road focused version of the available Multistrada bikes, which took the adventure-tourer status of the Multistrada bikes to the next level. The Multistrada 1260 is new to the Enduro family and gets power from the 1,262cc twin engine that performs powering duties on the last model. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine is rated to make out 58.3hp at 9,500rpm and 128Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. Other than this, the up-down quick shifter aids are being provided as standard for seamless gearshifts.
In terms of electronics, the 2019 Ducati Multistrada Enduro 1260 is a feature-packed motorcycle. It gets attributes like a six-axis IMU, four tailorable riding modes (Urban, Sport, Touring and Enduro), Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Vehicle Hold Control (hill-hold assist and a Skyhook suspension package). In addition to this, the availability of a 5.0-inch TFT display will let you connect your smartphone, and provides all the ride related information, also one can make changes to the bike’s setup as well.

The 2019 Multistrada Enduro 1260 due to its height seems more off-road focused. However, with a host of changes, the motorcycle is more accessible as compared to the previous generation model. The new Enduro gets reduced suspension travel by 15mm to 185mm and the seat height is also low at 860mm, dropped by 10mm. An option of 840mm seat height is also being provided. The 1260 Enduro rides on wire-spoke wheels shod up with tubeless Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres – 120/70 R19 at the front and 170/60 R17 at the rear. It weighs 254kg (kerb weight) which makes it heavier over the outgoing model.
In its segment, the Multistrada Enduro 1260 will lock horns with the likes of the BMW R 1250 GS Adventure. The motorcycle is priced at INR 18.25 lakh ex-showroom, India and considered as the perfect example in its segment. Other than this, the segment also has a model like the Tiger 1200XCx, a very capable adventure tourer from Triumph Motorcycles. It costs INR 17 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The bookings for the 2019 Multistrada Enduro 1260 has been started at brand’s dealerships across India, which consists of dealerships in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.
