The hunger of bestowing new and different for its admirers across the globe is not making the Italian marque- Ducati to take a sigh of relief. As the bike maker, besides being presenting unique in its own, Ducati Supersport along with the revived range of its existing models at Intermot show, earlier this month. Ducati is now ready to unload two more entities under different segments at the impending EICMA next month. Out of the two, one will be the part of scrambler family, while the other would share the lately introduced Supersport segment.
If talked about the all new Scrambler that is going to be pronounced- Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled has been revealed in a teaser video, rolled out just a few days ago. Besides being providing a few glimpses of the motorcycle, the teaser wasn’t divulging much about the bike. From the video, seems like a dual-sport version of the typical scrambler, the Desert Sled were equipped with the required off-road capabilities like higher adjustable suspension, spoke wheels wrapped with some knobby tyres, bash plate, and upswept exhaust. On mechanicals, seems like ready to tear the long dirt roads, the Desert Sled is anticipated to be packed with a bigger engine of 803cc displacement.
The lately spied- the Project 1408 is the other listed one, that is going to make its maiden public appearance soon at the 2016 EICMA. If the surface rumors are to be believed, the project 1408 is going to be the Superleggera, which means ‘super light’ in Italian unit of the bigger engined 1299cc Panigale. While the last Project 1201 was a rare superbike in itself, inheriting a host of weight saving and state of the art technology measures from the 1199 Panigale.
The firm has provided a few images of the Project 1408 which previewing some noteworthy cycle parts of the bike which comprise new wheels, new fairing cuts for improved respiration and a carbon fiber pillion seat cowl. The new Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled and the 1408 Supersport are being promoted globally via a teaser depicting November 7, which is the first media day of EICMA 2016.
