The new 2018 Suzuki Jimny recently introduced in Japan, the company has as well assured that the new Jimny will be launched in Indonesia soon. This 4th-gen Jimny model was on showcase during 2018 GIIAS, Indonesia.
It will be manufactured in Indonesia and sent to other ASEAN countries. It was in news a few days ago that the model will make its launch in India as well. Now, the Maruti Suzuki company has mentioned in the news that Jimny has no plan to launch this new SUV in India.
It also shows that the Maruti Gypsy will continue on sale in India. The 2nd-gen Gypsy will be removed from the company portfolio by 1st Oct 2019. As the current model doesn’t fulfill the new Bharat NCAP safety crash test regulations. The cars who are not following the crash test cannot be sold out after 1st Oct 2019. This is the reason for speculation that the current Gypsy in India will be replaced by the Jimny.
