Fiat is reportedly gearing up to re-introduce the pre-facelift version of Punto, which was left unsold after the launch of the facelift Punto Evo in August 2014. This soon-to-be launched car will be named as Punto Pure and will be priced at a competetive rate so as to clear the stock. Lookwise, it'll be more decent unlike the facelift which is quite aggessive in style. The automaker is curretly selling Punto Evo as well as Abarth Punto in the automobile market, whereby the latter is a powerful hot hatch.
This upcoming hatch will be rolled out with three variants namely- Active, Dynamic and Emotion- ranging from the entry level to the top raging one. Mechanically, the lineup will be available with three categories of engine including 1.3 litre MuliJet, 1.2 litre FIRE and a 1.4 litre FIRE unit. The top end trim Emotion will be equipped with notable elements like alloy wheels, Microsoft Blue&Me, fldable keyfob, steering mounted audio controls, 2 DIN audio system, automatic AC and much more. Safety features like ABS, EBD and dual front airbags will also be fitted in the top ranging variant.
Details on: Fiat Punto Evo
The Facelift Punto is priced at INR 4.99 Lacs for the petrol and INR 5.95 Lacs for the diesel variant (both prices ex-showroom). Moving on to the Punto Pure, it is likley to be retailed at sub-5 lakh tag that would place it as a direct competetor to the likes of Chevrolet Beat, Hyundai i10 and Maruti Celerio.
