Maruti is all set to replace the first-gen Ertiga with all-new model which will be introduced in the market on November 21, 2018. The first-gen Ertiga was on sale from April 2012 and a minor change was made in October 2015.
There were rumours that the model has been renamed and sold as a fleet-vehicle, but later the sources at Maruti confirmed that after the new Ertiga hits the floor then the first-gen will be completely discontinued.

Approx. 4.2 lakh units of first-gen Ertiga has been sold by Maruti since April 2012. The engine options- 1.4 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel has not been changed in first-gen Ertiga since its launch. But after some time, a 4-speed automatic option was added by Maruti to the petrol-powered Ertiga.
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is whole-heartedly accepted by the budget mid-size MPV buyers in the segment which also includes models like the Renault Lodgy, the Honda BR-V and the recently launched Mahindra Marazzo.

While it is also known that the Maruti Ertiga is set to be sold via Arena dealerships as against the previously rumoured Nexa dealerships. Soon, Maruti will declare the bookings for the new Ertiga.
