A sketch of the all new GLC Class Crossover has been recently made public by Mercedes Benz, which is to be premiered online on June, 17. This model will be replacing company's present GLK Class with much newer and updated design much like the GLE Class. According to the sketch, it has a twin-slated grille shaped like a shield along with two power domes highlighting the hood. Apart from this, features like LED headlamps, air inlets, exhaust system and a panoramic sun-shielded roof will also be present. The interior of the crossover will be marked by leather upholstery and a touchscreen infotainment system with an integrated touchpad.
There will also be Air Control System for air suspension, which will enable the driver to adjust the drive as per the requirement. Various safety and driving assistance systems will also be present like lane monitoring and cruise control.
Much like the C-Class, this GLC Class will be available in various types of engine models. It will include a 2 litre, four-cylinder petrol engine generating 241 Hp for entry level models and a 3 litre, V6 petrol engine offering 329 Hp for expensive versions. Apart from this, there will be an AMG model named as GLC 63 powered by a 4 litre, V8 engine pumping out 470 Hp. A 7-speed automatic gearbox will be offered for transmission, which will remain standard for all the versions.
This upcoming GLC Class crossover is going to be displayed in public for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor show in the month of September. Reportedly, the model will be out in the showrooms before the year 2016 ends.
