Finally, the day has come and Ford has introduced the updated EcoSport facelift in the Indian market at an introductory price sticker of INR 7.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Ambiente MT petrol variant. While the top end Titanium+ AT Petrol variant will be priced at INR 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This refreshed EcoSport facelift is being offered in 6 different colors and ten variants to opt your choice.
The Ford EcoSport was due for the facelift since four years. Now, the carmaker has finally modified this compact SUV not only at the cosmetic front but also at mechanicals end. Though changes made at exterior, and in engine and transmission departments are minor yet the interior has received considerable changes.
At the skin, as mentioned above there are countable changes. The front only gets a bigger front grille that is flanked by refreshed LED headlamps and DRLs. it is the most captivating change on the 2017 EcoSport besides the new set of 17-inch alloy wheels and a redesigned bumper.

Moving inside will definitely give you the feel of freshness as the interior has gone through a wide range of changes and new additions. The cabin now gets a new all-black theme with completely redesigned dashboard layout which comprises altered steering wheel, center console. Also, there is the availability of a floating 8-inch touchscreen unit, which is integrated with Ford's SYNC 3 Infotainment system. In the lower variant, the touchscreen infotainment system is of 6.5-inches. Though, the brand is offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto feature with both the variants.
Mechanically, you will find a new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine as a replacement for the outgoing 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine. The offered engine trim is capable of generating the maximum power of 123PS of power at 6500rpm and 150Nm of torque at 4500rpm.
The 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine option has also eliminated from the option to make way for the new engine. Power transmission will take place either by a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine continues to do its job with the same power and torque figures of 100PS at 3750 rpm and 205 Nm at 1750-3250 rpm. For this transmission will be handled by the same 5-speed manual gearbox.
In the segment, the 2018 EcoSport will knock its horns with the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, and the Honda WR-V.
