By the introduction of the new Milwaukee-Eight vee-Twin engine, the Harley-Davidson touring machines have got an increasing power and fuel efficiency. The automaker has also made an announcement for some other changes for its 2017 touring models and the line up besides that.
The inclusion of new suspension:
All the 2017 Harley-Davidson touring models will gain all-new front and rear suspension configuration in order to boost up the comfort, performance, and control. The bikes will get to include a new dual bending valve front suspension technology, which gives the action of a racing-style cartridge fork along with linear damping features and lesser weight. As compared to the previous standard Touring shocks, the new emulsion technology will offer 15 to 30 percent extra pre load adjustment.
Screamin’ Eagle Performance:
A full selection of the street-legal performance components will be offered to the Milwaukee-Eight engines. This will include the engine stage kits that are able to deliver torque with an increase up to 24 per cent above the stock engine, however, this will be available in certain markets only.
Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations:
Combine prestige and performance in three limited-edition CVO models will be there for 2017. The CVO Limited and CVO Street Glide models get the new engine performance. On the other hand, the power inside the CVO Pro Street Breakout tourer comes via the Screamin’ Eagle twin cam 110B air-cooled V-twin engine.
