India's leading automaker Maruti Suzuki has been in the news for its upcoming cars which are about to launch in the next year. These cars will launch in every genre that is hatchback, compact SUV and crossover. All of three cars have made a public appearance in the current year and now the heat is building up about their proposed launches and production version. However, among three of them, only one has been confirmed with production launched in other countries, that is Maruti Suzuki SX4 S-Cross crossover car. The car is supposed to get launched in the January 2015 and will be taking competition against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Nissan Terrano and Renault Duster.
The crossover will be based on the SX4 sedan, which will be discontinued after the launch of the S-Cross. Also, the company has hinted that the interiors of the car would be as same as they offer on the Swift hatchback to keep the cost low of this car. Under the bonnet, the car will be powered by only diesel fuel initially and the option would be 1.6 Litre producing 120 bhp with 6-speed manual gearbox and a 1.3 Litre multijet producing 90 bhp with 5-speed manual gearbox.
However, a petrol model may also come in the line with 1.4 Litre option that also has appeared on the recently launched Ciaz sedan as well. Though all these features are possibilities until this car gets launched and we must wait till then for the confirmation.
