According to the resources, the flagship motorcycle of the company might make its appearance in the month of November, 2014. The upcoming sports motorcycle is named as Hero HX 250R. The motorcycle was first unveiled by the manufacturer at the Delhi Auto Expo, which was held in the month of February, 2014.
The most awaited quarter-liter sports motorcycle might be readying to compete against the other quarter-liter sports motorcycle available in the market. The Hero Motocrop teamed-up with Erik Buell Racing (EBR), AVL (Austria) and Engines Engineering and created this powerful and amazing looking machine. The unparallel designing style and the curves and cues are perfectly combined together to give its rider am amazing riding experience like never before.
The Hero HX 250R will be featuring a newly designed power plant. It will be using a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, which gives an engine displacement of 249cc. The engine is capable to belt out a total power of 31PS and peak torque of 26Nm. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed constant mesh transmission. This would be a light weight sports motorcycle, as it weighs 139Kgs, claimed by its manufacturer.
The safety features has been taken care by the triple-piston caliper, 300mm disc brakes, both at front and rear. ABS will be available as an option. This complete set up of the motorcycle will be build around a geodesic tubular frame. It also receives twin telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and monoshock with 5 steps adjustable at the rear. The remaining attractions are its full-fairing, twin head-lamps, split seat, shim valve damping and last but not the least, an under-seat tail pipe.
The expected price of the upcoming Hero HX 250R will fall in between 1.6 Lakh to 2 Lakh INR (Ex-Showroom Price). The upcoming quarter-liter sports motorcycle will surely hold against the other competitors present in the market like KTM Duke 200, Yamaha R25, Honda CBR 250R and many more.
