Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced that the Honda become a number one two-wheeler brand in the eight states and one union territory. These growing markets are Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Kerala, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Karnataka and one union territory is Chandigarh. In which, the new three markets are Delhi, Punjab and Gujarat, where the company has increased its leadership. The HMSI is on a role by receiving a huge success from the markets and also going further in the positive direction of the shares and sales figures.
The HMSI reports a 50 percent market shares in scooter segment in 27 states, whereas, the company boasts a 40 percent market share with a 67 percent in the scooter segment in Maharashtra. In the March of this year, the company has sold 2,07,270 units and made its position in the list of 10 highest selling two-wheeler in FY 2014-15. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has clocked the one million sales mark of Activa in just five months of this fiscal year (FY'15-16) as the company has sold 10,01, 350 units of Activa by a big margin in just five months of the current fiscal year.

Honda 2-Wheeler is now the ‘Most preferred 2-wheeler brand’ in an impressive 8 States and 1 Union Territory. Our strategy to launch many new models in both scooter and motorcycle segments, network expansion in smaller towns, increased flexibility in production mix to meet demand and top of mind brand recall has been well accepted in the market.”

In fact, the overwhelming demand for the iconic Activa has led the brand cross one million sales in just five months of FY15-16. Our newly launched motorcycles Livo and CBR 650F are receiving a tremendous response. Now with the onset of festive season, we are confident of driving the next growth curve for Honda in India.”
The Honda has a wide range of products in its portfolio, whereas, is planning to introduce more products by the next year. Recently, the company has launched Honda Livo and CBR 650F in the Indian two-wheeler market that also receiving good receiving positive response from the buyers.
