Honda has initiated a new venture with Shriram Auto Mall to set up the pre-owned two-wheeler market in India. The Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) is a subsidiary of Shriram Transport Finance Company (STFC). Honda Motorcycle’s “Best Deal” is the brand for used two-wheeler market. Currently, they are running 60 successful outlets across 11 states from last 2 years. The aforementioned collaboration will help them stretch the market of pre-owned vehicles for better grip over the growth rate.
To keep the easy movement of the action of sell and purchase, both the firms will be handling their dedicated departments. The Honda is already indulged in progressing their used Honda two wheelers by purchasing them from existing users and selling them forward after getting them refurbished and certified. The Shriram Automall will be commanding over the non-Honda two wheelers which are bought in the exchange scheme against new Honda two wheelers. The firm will also conduct the bidding, documentation and pricing of these vehicles.
The Sales and Marketing Vice President of the Honda Motorcycles and Scooters Indian Limited has shared the views and believes that the scope of used vehicles in India is boundless, but the current scenario has only 15% of market share. The collaboration of both the companies will be beneficial for smooth transactions and transparent dealing.
