Honda, the Japan-based carmaker made the official announcement that it has stopped manufacturing its Brio model in India, as the sales of car model are not picking from last few months. Now Honda Amaze, the entry-level car has been liked by the customers in the Indian market.
Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director (Sales and Marketing), Honda Cars India said in a press statement, "Our entry car is now Amaze. We have stopped production of the Brio and as of now we do not intend to bring next-generation Brio into India,".
Honda Amaze entry-level car has been replaced with Brio in India and it is one of the reasons that the company has stopped the production of Honda Brio in the Indian market.

The taste preferences of Indian customers has now shifted to bigger models, SUVs and sub-4-meter sedans. Honda sold more than 63,000 units of the facelift version of Amaze since its launch and the sales figures are increasing day by day.
Rajesh Goel stated that the company has no plans for the replacement of Honda Brio. By adding that, the Amaze is going to be our entry model in the Indian market. The Jazz and WR-V are the other two models which would cater to the small car requirements"

To recall, Honda Brio had launched in India in September 2011 at a starting price of Rs 3.95 lakh. Since its launch, 97,000 units of Brio have been sold by the company so far. Honda, Japanese car manufacturer made the announcement at 2018 Auto Expo Show that the company has plans to launch 6 new cars in the country by 2020. Out of them, 2 new cars including facelift version of Honda Amaze and CR-V have been unveiled by Honda in India recently. The new generation of the Civic will be launched in India mostly probably in March 2019.
