The most awaited upcoming sports motorcycle from the Japanese automobile giant will not be coming to India this year. The Honda CBR300R has been first showcased at the EICMA, which was held in the year, 2013. The motorcycle was launched in the United Kingdom in the month of March, 2014. And, the company is planning to introduce this motorcycle in India during the festive season or might be at the end of the fiscal year.
Now, recently, the Japanese has announced that the Honda CBR300R will not make its way towards India in the current year. As, the manufacturer is facing some global delay issues, they have decided to reschedule the launch of Honda CBR300R in the coming year, 2015. The quarter-liter sports will be available for sale by the starting of the next year.
Technically, the Honda CBR300R gets its power from new version of the CBR250R's engine. The new single-cylinder engine gives an engine displacement of 249cc and coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable to generate a total power of 30.4BHP and a peak torque of 27Nm. The Honda adds its own technology to reduce the vibrations of CBR300R, as it blessed with a heavier balance shaft and also reduces weight which is now 6.8 kgs lighter than its predecessors. The braking system has been taken care by ABS by default.
Few days back, the company had launched a new member in the 100-110 segment commuter motorcycle. The motorcycle is named Honda CD 110 dream, a new commuter motorcycle in the Dream Series from Honda. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 41,100 (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
