Honda, the Japanese automobile giant, has recently introduced its new sports bike in the international market. The new sports bike belongs to the CBR family and is named as CBR650F. After launching this new sports bike in the international market, the Honda Motors have made another announcement to open up their fourth manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The company is planning to launch this bike along with the CKD units of the mid-sized category bike in India by the Q1 of the upcoming year 2015. This sports-oriented bike is based upon the naked street fighter style of CBR series or we can say that this fully-faired bike is a clothed version of Honda CB650F. The bike was first showcased by the company at the Delhi Auto Expo, which was held in February, 2014.
According to the company, "The new CBR650F is brand new from the wheels up. Based on the same platform as the naked street fighter-styled CB650F, it's been designed from inception by a young team of Honda engineers as a sports-oriented bike, usable and enjoyable in the real world by riders of all backgrounds, in environments from busy urban streets to twisting back roads."
The new Honda CBR650F from the company has already made ballyhoo in the market as it is featuring a four cylinder inline engine coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine displacement given by the bike is 649cc, with a total power of 85.8BHP @ 11,000RPM and a maximum torque of 63.04Nm @ 8000RPM. The tank of the bike has a fuel capacity of 17 litre. The braking system of the bike is performed by dual piston calipers at the front and single piston calipers at the rear.
Now, here comes the pricing section of the bike, it is expected that the bike is priced at around Rs 6.5 Lakh. It is expected that the Honda CBR650F will surely be a strong opponent for the other sports bikes from different companies like Royal Enfield’s Continental GT, Ducati's 690 Panigale.
