The largest two-wheeler maker, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, is planning to provide something really new for Indian two-wheeler market. Whereas, the company is concentrated on the sports segment of the Indian line-up as the company plans to launch its anticipated sports motorcycle, CBR650F, in the two-wheeler market. The motorcycle was caught during the testing at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The Honda CBR650F has recently been spotted at the local dealership of Honda in Indore, which is indicating about its launching. The motorcycle has already started reaching the dealerships.
Talking about its technical terms, the Honda CBR650F houses an in-line 4-cylinder unit configuration incorporated with an engine displacement of 649cc. The liquid-cooled, DOHC engine unit, churn out a maximum power of 87 BHP at 11000 RPM and a peak torque of 63 Nm at 8000 RPM. The engine is paired to a six-speed transmission. Furthermore, the motor will be featured with the electric fuel injection system to retain its power output.

The middle-weight motorcycle is built around on a twin-spar steel frame, which nicely sits on a rear shock spring loaded suspensions and a front 41mm up-front forks. The stopping duties have been taken care by a 320mm twin-piston caliper disc at the front and 240mm single-piston caliper disc brake at the rear, while the Anti-lock Braking System is standard in the motorcycle. With the excellent ergonomics, the motorcycle measures a length of 2,110 mm, width of 775 mm and height of 1.145 mm.

The Honda CBR650F will be coming towards the country via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. Initially, the company has brought down only 2 units of the Honda CBR650F in the country, carrying only 5 percent of localization. The middle-weight, quarter-liter motorcycle will available across the twenty cities in the country. The motorcycle will be sold in the country at a price tag of Rs 8 Lacs (Ex. Showroom).
