Honda Commences Accepting Bookings for CB Hornet 160R

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter (HMSI) now accepting the bookings for its most awaited commuter motorcycle- Honda CB Hornet 160R in the country. The motorcycle was first showcased at the ‘Honda RevFest’ event where the company had launched CBR 650F and introduced two updated models of CBR series. The Hornet 160R is yet another offering from the company to increase its sales in the highly competitive segment. The motorcycle will go for retail in the domestic market from December 2015. Moreover, the 160cc motorcycle inherits its design property from the CX-01 concept that was showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.

Honda CB Hornet 160R Side

The Honda CB Hornet 160R features a muscular fuel tank with raised side panels, front dual-tone shade mudguard, LCD digital meter, X-shaped tail light, single unit seat, alloy wheels and much more. It comes featured with a front and rear disc brake that are incorporated with a Combi Braking System (CBS). Furthermore, the new CB Hornet 160R will be positioned beside the Honda CB Unicorn 160. It features with a front telescopic suspension and rear semi-loaded mono-shock suspension.

From the technical bits, the Honda CB Hornet 160R is powered with the same 160cc air-cooled and four-stroke motor that also powers the Honda CB Unicorn 160. The 160cc and SI motor returns 14.5 BHP of power at 8,000 RPM and 14.16 Nm of torque at 6,000 RPM, the motor is mated to a five-speed transmission.

The new Honda CB Hornet 160 will come soon in the market in against to the Hero Xtreme Sports, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ-S.
