Honda Confirms a New Model at 2016 Auto Expo, CBR650F for 2015

For the first time, the Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India has given a piece of confirmation regarding the introduction of the Honda CBR650F. The top authorities from the HMSI have finally spoken up about the upcoming motorcycle. Mr. Y. S. Guleria, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at HMSI ensured the introduction of the CBR650F in the fiscal year, 2015. Along with that, the manufacturer is also planning to inaugurate new and high-end motorcycle stores in 20 major cities of the country. These upcoming showrooms are exclusively being set-up for the premium sports motorcycles offered by the company in future.

Honda CBR650F

Mr. Guleria also says, "The product roadmap for 2015 is robust with nine new products remaining to be launched in this year. For our flagship model CBR650F, Honda is innovating by bringing a new premium distribution format in 20 top priority cities. Clearly, 2015 will be a game changer year and Honda is all set to take the next step." Moreover, the maker is also looking forward to announce a "revolutionary model" at the Delhi Auto Expo, 2016. The Delhi Auto Expo will be taking place in the month of February, 2016.

Mr. Keita Muramatsu, President and CEO at HMSI, also speaks about the introduction of the new product in the country calling it a revolutionary model. While talking about the product, he added "the new model will revolutionize the Indian two-wheeler industry and create a new segment by itself". Apparently, we have never seen any motorcycle carrying a 650cc displaced engine. It will be carrying a different class along with it.

Honda CBR650F

Mechanically, the Honda CBR650F is featuring an in-line four-cylinder motor configuration carrying an engine displacement of 649cc. The liquid-cooled engine is tuned by the Honda boffins to deliver a churning power of 87 BHP and a peak torque of 62 Nm, while mated to a 6-speed transmission. The upcoming sports motorcycle is expected to carry a hefty price tag of Rs 8 Lacs (Ex-Showroom). The HMSI is planning to shower a wide range of products for the Indian fanatics this year. On an average, the firm will be coming with 9-10 new launches in the fiscal year, 2015.
