Officially introduced at the passed New York International Auto Show in September last year, the highly anticipated all new Civic from the Japanese carmaker-Honda has been rolled out in Pakistan. The 2016 Civic has been provided in three engine options of 1.8 i-VTEC, 1.8 i-VTEC Oriel as well as 1.5 VTEC Turbo. Price for these trims lies between PKR 2,349,000 (INR 15.07 lakhs) and PKR 2,999,000 (INR 19.24 lakhs).
Honda Atlas, the pakistani official website of the carmaker confirms the booking for next generation Civic has also been started, desirable one can place its booking through dealerships. Though, dealerships did not speak a word about waiting period for the delivery of the car. Still, the estimated time amid the booking and car delivery is about 60 days.
On mechanical front, under the hood, the tenth generation Civic is available with two powertrain units, one is a 1.8L i-VTEC naturally aspirated four cylinder petrol engine that pumps out 141 hp power and 174 Nm torque and the other is 1.5L VTEC TURBO turbocharged four-cylinder petrol motor that spits out power and torque figures of 173 hp and 220 Nm respectively. Both the models comes mated with the CVT transmission with Earth Dreams technology.
On featuring, the 1.5L trim is furnished with components like LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, remote engine start, walk away auto lock, chrome handles and 17-inches dual tone alloy wheels. While inside the car, reverse camera, six airbags and a 7-inch touchscreen display are provided in all variants as standard units.

Ahead its launch in Pakistan, New Honda Civic gets over 5000 bookings out of which mostly orders are placed for the 1.5 Turbo VTEC variant. If talks about its Indian launch, the growing popularity of 2016 Honda Civic may turn venture to make its Indian debut sometime by the end of this year or in early next year.
