Where the market is already flooded with rumours of the new Honda BRV launch, some new promotional campaign is working as a fuel in the fire. Honda has announced a digital campaign named #WhereNextWithBRV that will go on for 20 days. Moreover, the carmaker will also promote this expedition via all the popular social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. There isn't any official commitment, but according to some reports it will be launched on May 1, 2016.
It is based on the Honda's flexible GSP platform that was first seen in the Brio hatchback, followed by the compact sedan Amaze and the first MPV car from the company, Mobilio. The official debut was made at the 2015 GAIKINDO Indonesian International Motor Show and after then it was also unwrapped at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.

Dimensionally, it measures 4,455 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, 1,650 mm in height and the long wheelbase of 2,660 mm. In order to compete with other small SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Honda has especially designed this BR-V that is termed as the 'Active Sport Crossover'.
Under the hood, the India-bound BRV is going to be available in both petrol and diesel trims that includes a 1.5-litre i-VTEC and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC. Besides, we can also expect another diesel engine option, which will be fitted with a 1.6-litre unit. For transmission, a six-speed manual can be mated to the both mills, while a CVT gearbox is also on the cards for the petrol variant.
Talking about design, it is so much identical to the Mobilio MPV, as well as it will based on the Honda's new Active Solid Motion design cues. Some of the features at the exterior are listed as 16-inch alloy wheels, circular fog lamps, skid plates, black projector headlights and C-shaped LED rear tail lights.

Inside, it comes with a touch screen infotainment system, rear parking camera, foldable third row seats, electronically operated ORVMs, etc. Along with 7-seater option, it will also get a range of color options namely, Passion Red Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Misty Green Pearl, Taffeta White, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic.
In terms of safety, dual air bags, ABS with EBD hill assist control and some other features are also on the menu. The price detail has not been revealed as of now, but it would lie between INR 8.5 Lakhs to INR 12.5 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom).
