As per the sources, Honda’s top officials have confirmed that India will see the introduction of four new products this financial year. Out of the four new items, the two will be motorcycles while other two will fall in the scooter segment. Interestingly, all the upcoming two-wheelers will be launched with new names and completely new brands.
If talked about the spec details of the newcomers, until now the company has not disclosed a single information of these products. However, the one, which is much-anticipated off-roader for Indians, the Africa Twin could mark its entry in July this year. The aficionados will only be benefited with top end variant that with a dual clutch gearbox transmission (DCT).
Here in India, this parallel-twin adventure motorcycle will be available through Completely-knocked-down (CKD) route, and then will be locally-assembled at bikemaker's manufacturing unit. After the Honda CBR650F, it will be second offering from Honda to be sold via CKD route.
According to the Honda’s officials, the upcoming new range of products will be focused to offer riding pleasure along with superb mileage for a daily commute. Recently launched naked street performer, the Hornet 160R could be considered as a valid example to clarify the theme of upcomings, a true performer with fair styling and equipment that showcase its domination.
Other than this, the Navi was also an offbeat experiment of the Japanese manufacturer that launched at the 2016 Auto Expo and received huge admiration from Indian audience. The ‘Monkey Bike’ until now has been sold in a total of 50,000 units in the country.
Honda, which is one of the most popular two-wheelers manufacturers in India, besides these four forthcomings will continue to serve the nation with improved iterations of the existing products in new shades and with cutting edge technologies. Expectations are Honda could bring the PCX125, because it is a distinct scooter with cool features and Indian audience has already started accepting this kind of scooters as the Aprilia SR 150, a sporty and modern scooter launched in India a few months ago.
