Honda to Start CBR250RR Production Soon

The Japanese motorcycle maker, Honda had created a lot of buzz in the global market by word premier of its super sports concept, Honda CBR250RR at Tokyo Motor Show 2015. Now, it is rumoured that the company will start production of its lightweight bike CBR250RR in August. According to the earlier reports, the production was to be started in March 2016, but this will not happen. The motorcycle will be produced in Thailand or Indonesia. In addition, likely the bike will be launched in August. Other noteworthy details about the quarter-litre bike, it might not be produced in Japan to maintain low production cost.

Talking about its design, after seeing its production model, it seems that CBR250RR gets a sharp edge design with full fairing, muscular fuel tank, split seats, LED tail-lamp, petal disc, digital instrument panel and clip on handlebars. It is featured with LED headlights and ride-by-wire technology. Its chassis is responsible for better handling power. It gives a sporty riding posture to rider as it is loaded with rear set foot-pegs and clip-on handlebars.

In terms of mechanical, the firm has not revealed its engine specifications yet, but it is expected that bike will be powered by a 250cc and parallel twin power-plant to make expected 45 PS of power. The bike comes with USD front suspensions and a monoshock fork at the rear end. The braking duties are managed by petal disc brake at both ends. It is expected that CBR250RR will be loaded with traction control and ride modes, whereby it will give a tough competition to its rivals as Yamaha R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC390, etc.
