Honda has recently launched the Edge Edition of its popular crossover, the WR-V. The car will go on sale at the starting price of Rs 8.01 lakhs for the petrol version. The new compact crossover has been released in petrol and diesel variants. The Honda WR-V diesel variant has been priced at around Rs 9.04 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The new car bears the same engine as the S variant, however, some modifications have been made in the features and functionalities of the vehicle.
The petrol version comes with the same old 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 89 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. The 1.5-litre diesel engine is also the same as its predecessor. It is capable of generating 99 bhp power at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. Both engines are controlled by a 5-speed manual transmission.

Other changes include new five-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels with gun-metal finish which can be upgraded to a premium white finish for extra Rs 4,000, a rearview camera for which the display is integrated with the rear-view mirror, and rear parking sensors. The car has also been equipped with Honda’s standard Connect app with a free subscription of one month. The service provided by the app include locate my car, service reminder, impact alert, trip analysis, vehicle health monitoring, etc.
The all-new WR-V has been priced just Rs 20,000-23,000 over the standard S variant. The bookings for both petrol and diesel variants have started at all Honda dealerships across India.
