The Korean car -maker Hyundai has now carved a niche for itself across the world in popular car segments like compact sedan, mi-luxury segment and hatchback as well. Its portfolio has many cars to flaunt now one more has been added or technically about to get added, that is next generation Elantra whose images have been leaked before its possible launch in the 2nd half of the year in its home country. Once launched their, then it would be coming for the rest of the world, however nothing has been uttered by the company over it. Now, the new car has many changes in it and has taken the design ideas from the last December launched Hyundai i40 Facelift.
The major changes on the car are its new style which actually is very impressive, LED DRLs integrated in sweptback headlamps, aggressive front fascia with trapezoidal grille and others as well. Coming to the engine part, it's expected to get powered by the series of new 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The petrol powerhouse will be 1.6 Litre T-GDI motor, available in new Tuscon SUV and generates 134 bhp power while used in naturally aspirated form and 176 bhp, while turbocharged. The diesel mill would be 1.7 Litre unit producing 115 bhp and the 2.0 Litre motor will be offering power tunes of 136 bhp and 184 bhp.
There would be a new 7-speed DCT box or a 6-speed manual one to send power to the front wheels of the car. The price and exact launch date hasn't been out yet, but we'll inform you as soon as we get some confirmation. Till then, stay tuned with us.
