The extremely popular and beloved hatchback- Hyundai Elite i20 is on its way to be grounded soon with an automatic version. The Korean brand has finally listened to the pleas of the Indian car enthusiasts and hence it’s about to launch the variant in the next few months with the deliveries are scheduled to begin as soon as the festive season starts.
Let’s get straight to the point. The upcoming Hyundai Elite i20 automatic is going to receive a four-speed unit, which comes mated to a 1.2-litre petrol transmission system, that accounts for generating 83PS of power. The Grand i10 also gets the identical engine-gearbox. On an interesting note, the European car bazaar will be offered by a 1.4-litre 100PS engine accompanying the autobox, however, no such possibilities can be ruled out here. Moreover, whether i20 would carry this transmission or not, is under the wraps as well.
If sources are believed to be true, Hyundai would probably launch the automatic in two of its variants. Apart from ‘Magna’ trim, which is certainly the one getting the automatic transmission, the other name could either be ‘Sportz’ or the ‘Asta’. Don’t bother about the price so much as the automatic variant is so going to contradict with its manual counterpart for obvious reasons. Expect the former to start its journey with a price tag of Rs. 6.5 lakh.
