To celebrate company's 20 years of operation in India, Hyundai Motors has decided to launch the special edition of its much popular compact sedan Xcent and renowned hot hatch Grand i10. The carmaker has not marked the day yet, but they could arrive soon in the market. A picture of Xcent has been surfaced online that is also badged with 20th Anniversary Special Edition. Thanks to the Cartrade, which provides the picture of this upcoming model.
As the earlier reports had revealed that both the cars will be offered with some additional features as well as the price is also reported to be tagged same as the predecessor. Moreover, there isn't any possibility of mechanical changes as they will continued to be powered by the same powerhouses as the ongoing models.
Currently, both the vehicles are being powered by a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre diesel engines. Where the power specs of the former reach 82 Bhp and 112 Nm, while the latter is giving two different output- 71Bhp/180Nm of the Xcent and 70Bhp/160Nm of the Grand i10.
Some of the changes have been unveiled by the images that are - a spoiler with a stop lamp on the tailgate, decals on the side and front bumper, which come attached with new chrome highlights. Inside the cabin, it will be featured by a touch screen display by Blaupunkt.
Apart from the above information, Hyundai is also planning to bring an automatic transmission unit in future as a standard attachment. There aren't any indication that which car will first celebrate this new technology. Besides, Hyundai Santro is also is in the news to return to India by 2018. If the media report is believed to be true, the carmaker could go up against again to the Maruti Alto 800,Renault Kwid and other that fits in the range.
