The media channels are filled with the news of 2016 Audi A4 that might come in the Indian auto stores sometimes before festive season in this year. Showcased at the country's finest motor show 2016 Auto expo earlier, the car would be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. All the prominent details are kept secret yet, it might be disclosed later officially.
Starting with the mechanical spec, if the car comes with petrol unit option it could get propelled by a 2.0-litre turbocharged that is good for 190 PS of power. A seven speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox is expected to be mated to the unit.
On the other hand, two diesel engine options are also there in the list. The first one can come with a 2.0-litre four cylinder turbocharged that might be integrated to an entry-level 6-speed manual transmission while the next one can get the same powerhouse but coupled to a 7-speed dual clutch unit. The car is also reported to be assembled at Audi facility in India at Aurangabad. When launched, it will go against the likes of Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3-Series, Volvo S60 and Jaguar XE.
Apart from the above news, Audi has also plan to launch its Q2 LWB in the Indian auto segment. Globally, the car has been running with a 1.0-litre TFSI three-cylinder petrol engine, 1.4-litre three cylinder, 2.0-litre TFSI 4-cylinder gasoline unit. Moreover, in the diesel option, the model comes with a 2.0-litre three cylinder trim. With all the specs and features, Q2 might arrive in the country by 2017.
