2018 Indian Roadmaster Elite that is the upcoming flagship model from Indian Motorcycle, is slated to launch on May 2. Priced at over INR 50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), It will be the most expensive model not only in the company’s lineup but also in the country. The company will offer a single, dual tone colour option for the model with the brand name painted in gold on the fuel tank.
The motorcycle will be adorned with all LED lights and chrome on the front and rear fenders, as similar to the ongoing Roadmaster. The specific two-tone blue-and-black paint job is the only factor that differentiates both the models. Also, it took 30 hours to paint the motorcycle as claimed by the bike maker. The most interesting thing on the motorcycle is featuring a 23-karat gold leaf badges on the fuel tank. Besides, there will be a 300W audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
As it will be the new introduction to the brand’s touring range. It will come fitted with the attributes such an adjustable windscreen and floorboards, heated seats, cruise control, a waterproof saddlebag and a waterproof trunk that is capable of storing more than 140 litres of luggage.
Mechanically, the Roadmaster Elite comes laden with a 1,811cc, ‘Thunder Stroke 111’ V-twin engine as seen on the Roadmaster. The powertrain generates 161.6Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm. A telescopic front fork and a monoshock complete bike’s suspension setup. Whereas the important duties of stopping the bike are handled by dual-300mm discs up front and a single 300mm disc at the rear. The bike weighs 433kg.

In the segment, the Roadmaster Elite will compete against the Harley-Davidson CVO Limited that is on sale at INR 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
