Jaguar has finally displayed its much awaited F-Pace model at Frankfurt Auto Show, today. This elegant and flamboyant model has been intelligently designed so as to deliver performance like a sports car. The crossover is based on the CX-17 concept unveiled at the same Auto Show, back in 2013. It gets an aluminium intensive platform, but at the same time derives styling cues from a typical F-Type sports model. Designed by Mr Mike Cross, this vehicle gets a stiff body and is equipped with Double Wishbone front suspension along with Integral Link rear suspension.

Visually, it measures 4,731 mm long with a wheelbase of 2,784 mm and comprises a generous storage space of 650 litres. Its exterior boasts off short overhangs and a pronounced rear portion housing a distinguished tail light cluster. The fascia highlights sleek LED headlights as well as a sturdy bonnet and the distinctive 22-inch rims complete the package.
Moving inside, the capacious cabin comes with a five-seat occupancy and offers convenient head and knee room. A wide array of modern equipments have been fitted like a hi-tech 10.2 inch touchscreen infotainment unit that includes an InControl Touch Pro system. It runs on Ethernet connection and is integrated with a quad-core processor. Apart from this, eight different devices can be connected simultaneously to the Wifi hotspot present in the cockpit. Moreover, the 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster displays information regarding navigation in 3D.
A range of newly developed Ingenium engines will be packed in this upcoming Jaguar model. The configuration consists of two diesel engines- a 2 litre unit generating 180 PS and a 3 litre unit making 300 PS. The petrol variants include a 2 litre motor with 240 PS and a 3 litre unit that pumps out power in two states- 340 PS and 380 PS. All these powertrains are coupled to an automatic gearbox except for the 2 litre diesel model that encompasses manual as well as automatic transmission.
