Jaguar Land Rover India has recently announced a growth of 45 percent for the 2016 first quarter taken account from Jan to Mar 2016 collectively. The automaker has crossed 1,000 units sales in this period, as the newly launched models like Jaguar XE and Discovery Sport have secured a good score in the market.
Commenting on the growth, Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India, said that the Jaguar and Land Rover brands have established themselves in India completely. The Jaguar XE, which made its debut recently in February 2016 received a good response from the Indian consumers.
Presently, the Jaguar lineup in India consists of models such as the F–Type (Priced at INR 1.25 crores), the XF (priced at INR 47.7 Lakhs), the XJ (priced at INR 99.99 Lakhs) and the XE (priced at INR 39.90 Lakhs). The Land Rover lineup offers an array of offroader SUV models such as the Range Rover (INR 2.12 crores), Range Rover Sport (INR 1.18 crores), Discovery 4 (INR 1.11 crores), new Discovery Sport (INR 47.59 Lakhs) and the 2016 Range Rover Evoque (INR 48.60 Lakhs). Setting up a strong benchmark in the country, Jaguar Land Rover aims to develop more performance driven cars and secure a better annual sales figure in the coming years. As of now, the company has planned to introduce the Jaguar F-Pace in the Indian market later this year. Notedly, Jaguar F-Pace was also showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.
