A week before, we have reported about the arrival of the new Jaguar F-Pace in the country with the official launch to take place in the festive season. While the car has already taken a throne with other Jaguarians at the dealerships, bookings for the newcomer will get started from next week onwards, however, the price tag is still undisclosed.
Set to be booked with a token amount of INR 5 lakh, the Jaguar F-Pace, being the first ever SUV from the company, won’t take a cheaper price tag, certainly. We can anticipate the base variant F-Pace and the top-out to be available at a starting price of INR 85 lakh and INR 1.20 crore, respectively. If such a price tag will be there, the newbie might lock the horns of Mercedes-Benz GLE coupe, Porsche Macan, BMW X6 and the Range Rover Evoque. Setting aside all these extravagantly rich cars, the SUV in question would probably take a place above its JLR cousin.
Reports have mentioned that the Jaguar F-Pace will be introduced in four trim levels, namely, Pure, Prestige, R-Sport, and the First Edition. While the Pure and Prestige comes shod with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the rest two will get a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 diesel motor. The former unit delivers a power of 176.94BHP and 430NM of torque whereas the latter is able to generate 296.25BHP with a torque of 700NM. Power across the wheels is dominated by an 8-speed automatic transmission along with an all-wheel drive.
