This year, we witnessed major Jeep models at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The American automaker displayed the models named Jeep Grand Cherokee & Grand Cherokee SRT in the India Expo. Now, the company is planning to showcase its C-SUV named project 551 at the upcoming 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show. The Latin American auto show will be organised in November 2016. The compact SUV is likely to be developed at the Brazil plant.
At first, the Jeep 551 will be displayed in Brazil and then it will be taken to different Auto Expo of America. After the display, Jeep 551 is likely to go for production by the year 2017. The test mule of the model has been spotted several times and We got to notice some body design styling of the compact SUV. The luxury compact SUV will offer better build quality as it showcased at the auto expo, displaying some of its popular lineup including Wrangler and Cherokee SUV.
The SUV is likely to be offered in ethanol and petrol variants in Latin America, whereas the Indian models will offer petrol and diesel options. India variants will also get rear wheel drive trim, which is manufactured at India’s Ranjangaon plant.
