As we all know, the deadline to meet stringent BS-IV emission norms, April 1, 2017, is coming closer. Manufacturers are busy in clearing their BS-III compliant outstanding stock. And, in order to attain this, several bike makers are offering lucrative discounts on their selected models in Indian line-up. The reason behind taking this step is the 2017 model year version of the bikes have already been unveiled in Europe, and all are Euro-IV compliant, which is equivalent to the BS-IV emission norms. So, their Indian emergence is expected anytime soon in the near future.
Recently, we let you know about a heavy discount of up to Rs. 1 Lakh on the on-road price of the Japanese firm's middleweight sports bike, Honda CBR650F. Besides this, an another native performance bike manufacturer, Kawasaki is also giving a lot of hefty discounts on its selected motorcycles. Includes the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Kawasaki ER-6N, and the Kawasaki Z250, almost all these mentioned bikes are India-assembled models.
The first two from the listed models, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Kawasaki ER-6N, share similar yet powerful 650cc parallel twin engine. Both these brothers are now available with a whopping discount of Rs. 1.5 lakh. That simply means you will get the Ninja 650 at a reduced price tag of Rs. 4.86 Lakh. While the ER-6N will cost you Rs. 4.42 Lakh.
The Kawasaki Z250, which is a naked beast, is powered by a 250cc parallel-twin DOHC motor. The engine is capable of producing 32 PS of peak power and 21 Nm of max torque. Basically, it is an interesting bike in various aspects, but its low performance-to-cost ratio, hold the bike back on sales figures. As the dealers have managed to sell only 22 units of the bike in between August 16 to January 17. With a huge discount of almost Rs 1 lakh on the price tag, the Z250 will now stand at Rs. 2.95 Lakh price.
