It clearly seems that the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer is looking forward to increase the Indian product portfolio. The latest product offered by the Kawasaki Motorcycles is the newly introduced Supercharged engined Kawasaki Ninja H2. Although, the firm has brought down only 5 units of the Supercharged motorcycle to the country. Now, adding some more excitement to the article, the firm has recently launched its all new liter-class tourer motorcycle, i.e. Kawasaki Versys 1000. It is basically an adventure-tourer motorcycle, which is designed to fulfill the touring experience of the riders.
Mechanically, the Kawasaki Versys 1000 is built around a fully-balanced aluminum chassis. It is powered by an in-line 4-cylinder configuration carrying an engine displacement of 1043cc. The liquid-cooled engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and also incorporated with a three-mode Kawasaki Traction Control system. The 1043cc displaced engine is tuned to generate a maximum power of 120 BHP and a peak torque of 102 Nm. The suspension duties have been taken care by long-travel suspension. And, the firm will be offering four-piston dual disc brakes at the front and single-piston caliper at the rear.
The Managing Director of Kawasaki, Mr. Yoshitaka Tamura, says, "We have launched superbikes ranging from Ninja ZX-14R, ZX-10R, Ninja1000, Z1000, Z800 and now Versys1000. We have also eagerly absorbed feedback and valuable insight from customers and put every effort to raise ourselves to be a higher and superb level of service provider to customers. We have recently offered a special price for the Z800 till the end of March due to the effort taken by our Indian colleagues. With those factors considered, we are targeting to grow by 50 per cent over the last year in this year."
The 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 will be brought down over the Indian ground via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route and it is available for sale at all the standalone dealerships of Kawasaki present in 5 major cities of India, i.e. Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune and Bangalore. The Adventure-tourer motorcycle has carried a price tag of Rs 12.90 Lacs (Ex-Showroom Pune).
