KTM RC200 Now Available in Black Colour Variant at INR 1.77 lakh

KTM RC 200 that is the smallest supersport model available in the brand’s Indian lineup has received a new colour option of Black. This new colour variant will be sold alongside the existing white colour variant at the similar asking price of INR 1.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Mind you, the KTM RC200 was available in matte black colour back in time and since 2014 was on sale. In lieu of updating model, the company started offering the white colour shade and stopped the Black colour variant production. The new colour variant is an amalgamation of white and orange similar to the 2017 KTM RC 390.

While launching new colour, Bajaj Auto-President (Probiking), Amit Nandi said "The KTM RCs are race-bred machines. The RC 200 constitutes a significant part of the KTM portfolio and it is only fair that we broaden the choice for our customers with the addition of a new Black colour option."

Besides updating colour variant, the Austrian bike maker did not make any changes at the mechanical front. The motorcycle continues to get power from the same old 199.5 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine. The powertrain has been tuned to generate the peak power of 25 bhp at 10,000 rpm and transmitting the vertex torque of 19.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The motor is coupled to a six-speed gearbox.

KTM RC 200 Black Edition

The KTM RC200 is a track-focused motorcycle that comes packed with a host of top selves features including USD front forks along with rear monoshock as suspension setup. While the stopping duties on the motorcycle are handled by disc brake units at both ends. However, the advanced safety of ABS is not being offered even as standard fitment.

Furthermore, the new RC 200 packs all-digital instrument cluster with real-time fuel efficiency, clip-on-handlebar, and wider rear view mirrors and well-cushioned seat. KTM India has a dense dealership network of 430 showrooms in 320 cities across the country. The bookings for this new black colour KTM RC 200 has been begun at the dealerships.

Besides updating the KTM RC 200 lineup with a new colour option, the brand is looking forward to introducing the highly anticipated adventure tourer, the KTM 390 adventure in the Indian market. The pricing for the upcoming KTM adventure we can expect the price sticker of INR 4 lakhs. Whereas in the segment, the motorcycle will see the competition with the rivals such as the BMW G310 GS, Kawasaki Versys X-300 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
