The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer has finally showcased the two rumored sports motorcycles at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show, 2015. The rumored motorcycles are named as KTM RC250 and the KTM Duke 250. The showcased motorcycles are not at all carrying any new accessories and styling. Cosmetically, both the displayed sports motorcycles are featuring the very same chassis and design. The KTM RC250 is completely inspired by the RC series of fully-faired sports motorcycles and the Duke 250 took its inspiration from the Duke series of naked sports motorcycles.
Eventually, both the showcased sports motorcycles are the middleweight engine displacement motorcycles and we can also say that they are the down-sized version of the 373cc displaced machines. The Duke 250 and the RC250, both are using the very same lightweight trellis frame, which would be incorporated with the quarter-liter engine. These naked and fully-faired quarter-liter sports motorcycles would be expected to receive a single-cylinder motor carrying an engine displacement of 250cc. The liquid-cooled motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission and is tuned to generate a maximum power of 31 BHP and achieves a peak torque of 24 Nm.
The Duke series of naked sports motorcycle and RC series of fully-faired sports motorcycles are making their availability in the Indian market for quite some time now. As a beginner, both the series is doing quite well in terms of their sales. As of now, there is no confirmation about the arrival of both these sports motorcycles towards the Indian market. The quarter-liter engined sports motorcycles will be directly be competing against the Honda CBR250R, Kawasaki Z250 and various other upcoming motorcycles.
