Jaguar Land Rover has proclaimed that the Land Rover Discovery Sport will be manifested in the Indian showrooms on September 2 this year with the replacement of the Freelancer 2. However, the manufacturer has already commenced the bookings for the SUV as well as it has undergone production in Pune. Dimension wise, this vehicle is 4,599 mm in length, 2,173 mm in width, 1,724 mm in height and has the wheelbase of 2,741 mm. Notably, the upcoming luxury SUV will be the first in its segment to comprise 5+2 options for seating.
The overall detail is yet to be unveiled, but there is a confirmation that the Terrain Response and Park Assist will be seen on this most awaited vehicle. Jaguar Land Rover will offer a 2.2 litre SD4 diesel engine and after a couple of days, it is presumed to introduce a 2.0 litre Ingenium diesel engine. The former will churn out two output states, 147 bhp and 187 bhp. These impressive power outputs will go to the all four wheels of this model via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Aesthetically, the Land Rover Discovery Sport will feature a new design philosophy to render an enthralling glimpse to the customers. As this vehicle will be set up as a CKD unit and the kits have already gone for assembly in Pune, so it means that the SUV would be priced competitively to throw down the selling graph of the other vehicles available around the same price tag.
