The luxury SUV manufacturer, Land Rover has already brought out its Discovery Sport diesel variant in India for homologation, which is powered by a 2.2 litre turbocharged mill to churn out the two power states of 147 bhp and 187 bhp. This mill would be mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that will work to transfer its power to all wheels alongside Terrain Response AWD system. Now, the petrol variant of this runabout has been arrived in the country including 2.0 litre four-cylinder SI4 engine that believes to produce an impressive power of 240 PS as well as a maximum torque of 340 NM.
The petrol model will be coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission and can achieve a spectacular speed of 100 from a standstill in just 8.2 seconds ahead of hitting the top speed of 199 km/h. Hence, both of its engine versions are capable to bestow the best performance comprising splendid speed and also promise to deliver tremendous fuel efficiency for the driver. Moreover, the top spec model will be named as HSE that is likely to comprise various latest features with dual zone climate control, touchscreen infotainment system, Xenon headlamps, leather upholstery and electrically adjustable front seats to render more plausible journey.
Notably, the Land Rover Discovery Sport luxury SUV will be launched in India in this ongoing year as the biggest rival of the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
