The latest Ferrari 488 GT0 is about to introduce by this year as the most hardcore and track-oriented variant from the company. The revealed specifications show that the new car will be powered by a 710hp engine taken from motorsport.
Images showcased on Ferrari Photo Page reveals internal specifications of the car where it is mentioned that the engine inspired by the 488 Challenge racer creates the most powerful production V8 engine till the date. This engine is 10% lighter comparing to the 488 GTB's engine.
It is expected that the new mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 engine of 488 will be enhanced by scaling up turbo pressure and internal amendments to generate its predicted 710hp power in relation to the maximum torque of 761Nm in the standard car variant.
The car will compete the Porsche 911 GT2 RS in the market and become a perfect replacement for the cut out 458 Speciale. This Speciale is known globally for being the best driver-focused Ferrari till the date. It has been spied while testing apart from Ferrari's Maranello base on other locations.

The revisions on this spotted car are hideout but the leaked suggests that the 488 will own an ample carbon-fiber listing for body and interior as well. The rear spoiler, bumpers, and bonnet will be made from material and also enable the large cabin and dashboard specifications.
The standard 488 variant generates 325kg of downforce in relation to 250kph while the 911 GT2 RS generates 340kg of downforce.
Ferrari's aerodynamicists are accessing the Formula 1 wind tunnel of the brand. We can expect a bigger front lip, more prominent rear diffuser and the more potent powertrain. Going by leaked images, the new 488 has a 20% correction in aerodynamic efficiency. The addition of 20-inch carbon-fiber wheels will save 40% weight compared to the standard 488 rims which will come covered in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber.
Ferrari tradition hints that engineers will as well suspend non-essential parts from the sound deadening and interior concerning engine bay of the car. The car also takes lightweight parts like thinner glass for side windows, windscreen and lighter ceramic brakes similar to the 458 Speciale.
Moreover, coming to the technical specifications, it has unique settings for Slide Slip Control management and the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Slide Slip Control management can produce greater degree angle of yaw ahead of getting involved fully.
It is speculated that the Ferrari may take the GTO name for the car, but it is not final yet in the moniker of the car. So we have to wait until launch or next specification out.
