After successfully launching the next generation Lexus LS500 at the Detroit Motor Show previous year, and the hybrid model LS500h at the Geneva Motor Show, Lexus has made it official that it will showcase the LS500 F ahead of the upcoming 2017 New York Motor Show. The NYIAS 2017 is scheduled to commence from April 14th and continue till April 23rd, 2017.
The F-sport model will be offering a lowered suspension, big set of brakes, sporty wheels and an all-around body kit that enhances the ride and handling. The interior is expected to give luxurious appeal with a fine touch of art and design. The Lexus F-Sport will be based on the extended global architecture for luxury vehicles (GA-L) platform that makes Lexus products outstanding. Due to this architecture, the LS F offers amazing handling, ride smoothness and noise free cabin. The F-Sport package will additionally offer tuned suspension and the limited-slip rear differential.
The car is expected to use the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine to pump out a maximum power of 450-500bhp along with 600-800Nm of torque. The transmission duties will be done by the newest 10-speed automatic gearbox. This engine option seems quite similar to the one powering the other Lexus siblings, LS500 and LS500h.
