After introducing a range of limited edition of motorcycles in previous months, today, the India’s oldest cruiser maker, Royal Enfield, has announced the price of their limited edition of the Despatch motorcycle at an event that is held at the company’s Linking road, Khar (West) Showroom, Mumbai. The range of limited edition motorcycle is inspired by the ‘Dispatch riders’ of World War One and Two. The Classic 500 Despatch series will be sold at INR 2,24,752 (Ex-showroom Mumbai), which will commence from 15 July on Royal Enfield's online store. The motorcycle will available in two color variants in the country named, Desert Storm Despatch and Squadron Blue Despatch, while the Battle Green Despatch will be available only for the export market. Only 100 units of each color will be sold in the local market.
The company is also providing rider gear, which comprises of apparel and accessories. All these apparels and accessories are available in Royal Enfield’s online store. Moreover, the limited edition of Classic 500 has been crafted dynamically with an Italian leather saddle and an air-box, which is held by classic leather buckle strap. The matte black paint job on the engine, silencer and exhaust perfectly match with each color.

In terms of technical specifications, the Classic 500 Despatch has not received any changes as the motorcycle is powered by the same single-cylinder and 499cc engine displacement that returns 27.2 BHP of power and 41.3 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
