Yeah! You heard it right, the India made Baleno has been launched in the UK market at the starting price of £12,999 or INR 12.77 Lakhs while the sale of this car will start from June 1. Moreover, it will be the Suzuki's first European model that is based on the company's new lightweight platform. The carmaker has offered two variant – one is entry level SZT and the other one is high-spec SZ5, which comes at a cost of £15,349 or INR 15.11 Lakhs.

Mechanically, the UK-based five-door hatch will get propelled by a 1.0-litre, 3 cylinders, BoosterJet turbocharged petrol engine that is the similar specs as the Maruti Baleno RS, which is expected to be launched in September in the country. Powering with this, the engine makes out 110 Bhp of power with 170 Nm of torque. In addition, the motor comes attached with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission unit.
As the company claims, by having a manual transmission, the vehicle can accelerate 0-100 in 11.4 seconds. Meanwhile, the automatic gearbox can do this same in just 11 seconds.

Furthermore, the model in question here also has an option of 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine, which is based on company's patent Smart Hybrid Vehicle System (SHVS).Packed with lithium ion battery, the trim will return overall 24.99 kmpl of great fuel efficiency and 94g/km of CO2 emission.
Some of the standard features are listed as HID headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, six airbags, DAB audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, front power windows, satellite navigation, and cruise control. When you will go for the top-end version, you will find LED tail lamps, adaptive cruise control, radar brake support, automatic climate control and 4.2-inch central MID display.
