Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch two of its high-end scooters in the coming October or November month to make it own contribution to the festival season. The upcoming two-wheeler models from Honda include Maestro Edge 125 and Destini 125, both of which are 125cc scooters. Hero Destiny, which is a 125cc variant of the Hero Duet and was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo, will be launched first, following by the Maestro Edge 125, which is the 125cc variant of the Hero Maestro Edge scooter.
The notable thing here is that the new scooters have been designed and developed at the Jaipur based Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) of the Indian automobile manufacturer. The new Hero models are expected to compete against other existing 125cc scooters in the market, including the likes of Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Burgman Street 125.
The 125cc motor that is in consideration is capable of generating the peak power of 8.7 bhp at 6750 rpm and 10.2Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. These churned power from this mill is lower than the revealed engine specs of Dare with 9.5 PS and torque is quite up with 9.8Nm.

If the pricing is considered, both Maestro Edge 125 and Hero Destini 125 will be priced a premium of INR 2000-3000 over the existing 100cc Maestro Edge and Duet. As per an ET report, both of these 125cc scooters are slated to launch soon in India.
