Mahindra KUV100 has been unveiled digitally along with engine specs last week and now some fresh reports disclose that the booking for the vehicle has started at INR 10,000. Moreover, the deliveries will commence from January 30, 2016. This model is going to be rolled out as a micro SUV that rather appears as a hatchback crossover. Consequently, it will target models like Ford Figo, Maruti Swift and upcoming Tata Zica. As per the anticipations, it is likely to be available at the price tag of INR 4-7 Lacs, and the launch will be held on January, 15.

From the first look itself, it will give you a hint of an SUV with a muscular stance and bulky body. The grille resembles to that of XUV500 housing the Mahindra emblem. The headlight cluster contains LED units and also highlights mFalcon badging on either side. The bumper flaunts a pair of rectangular fog lights and wider air dams. The interior has not been teased as of now, but it is expected to feature modern amenities. For safety, ABS will be offered as standard feature, whereas airbags remain optional throughout the range.

Mechanically, there will be two categories including G80 petrol and D75 diesel variants. The former is a 1.2 litre 3 cylinder unit, which is tuned to make 82Bhp at 5500 rpm along with 114 Nm of peak torque at 3500 rpm. Moving on to the diesel category, it will be fitted with a 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder turbo motor developing 77Bhp at 3750 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 1750 to 2250 rpm. Transmission is more likely to be handled by a manual gearbox along as well as an automated unit.
