The yesterday launch of the Mahindra Scorpio Facelift has just made the people go mad over its exteriors, though the interiors are bit on a low side. Now, the SUV market of Mahindra Motors is looking solid with the car names like XUV 500, Mahindra Scorpio Facelift and upcoming Bolero as well. However, the MUV sector of the company is on the shoulders of Mahindra Xylo and Quanto, and both the cars aren't doing well at this time. So, the company has planned to launch the facelift version of its Quanto MUV sometime during the late 2014. The original plan was to launch it little soon, but the Mahindra Scorpio hype makes it a bit late.
In the new version of the upcoming Quanto facelift, there won't be any major changes, but the transmission will be automatic this time and thus making it the first diesel MUV with automatic transmission in India. The car will not the get conventional automatic transmission, but the AMT or semi-automatic and will not be increasing any weight of the car which is already near to 1.6 tonnes. The car was demoed at the recently concluded 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi and was praised a lot.
The car will be improved on the efficiency as well and the company has many hopes laden with it and has belief that this car will get good number of sales in the market, post launching.
