Within just 1 month of the launch Mahindra TUV300 has apparently cast its spell on the customers. As per the September sales figure, the model has gained second spot in the SUV segment, thereby registering a clear victory over Ford EcoSport. Leading the race is the all new Hyundai Creta that has bagged sales of 7,300 units and has become the top selling SUV in Indian market.
The probable reasons for the success of TUV300 is that it is loaded with a lot of advanced features and that too at a generous retail price that lies between INR 6.90 Lacs to INR 9.12 Lacs. The equipments on offer include a class leading boot capacity of 384 litres, generous headroom as well as legroom both at the front and back portions, Multi Information display, Bluetooth telephony, three-spoke steering wheel mounted with controls, 2 DIN audio system and a height adjustable driving seat. For safety, it has dual airbags, ABS, Intellipark reverse assist, and much more.
Besides the cosmetic components, the powertrain is also quite efficient containing a 1.5 litre mHawk 80 turbocharged diesel engine developing 84Bhp/230Nm of maximum output. With the mileage of 18.49 km/l, TUV300 is one of the most fuel efficient SUVs in India. The engine is integrated with start/stop technology and this mechanical setup also complies with the 2017 safety norms.
