One of the most anticipated cars from Maruti Suzuki, the S-Cross has finally gotten proclaimed to be launched on August 5 in this current year. It will be the first car to be sold via the brand's latest Nexa showroom, making the customers more excited about seeing the actual appearance of this upcoming crossover at the Maruti's new dealership. Talking about the features, it will receive 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, button start functions and projector HID headlights. Its top-end variant will be packed with cruise control, ABS, all-4 disc brakes, and airbags.
Mechanically, the vehicle will make its appearance in the Indian car market only in oil burner variants, powered by a 1.3 litre DdiS unit and a 1.6 litre unit. Both of these versions will be appreciable in producing the outputs of 90 PS/200 Nm and 120 PS/320 Nm, respectively. Whereas the former will be paired to 5-speed manual gearbox, the latter will come with a 6-speed manual unit.
Coming to the fuel economy figure, the 1.3 litre unit will have the capacity to cover-up the distance of 23.65 km per litre fuel consumption, and the 1.6 litre variant will be able to go up to 22.7 km in just 1 litre of fuel. Presumed to be priced within a bracket of INR 8 Lact to INR 11 Lac, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will take on the likes of the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Mahindra Scorpio.
