Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched its first ever light commercial vehicle, Super Carry in the country. The model is only available in the following cities Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Ludhiana that is priced at INR 4.01 Lakh, INR 4.03 Lakh and INR 4.11 Lakh respectively (All price at ex-showroom).
Dimension wise, it measures 3800 mm in length, 1562 mm in width, 1868 in Height and a wheelbase of 2110 mm as well as has a ground clearance of 175 mm. It has a turning radius of 8.6 meters. Besides, it is being offered in two different color namely Superior White and Silky Silver.
Mechanically, it comes fitted with a 793 cc two-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of delivering 24 KW of power at 3500 rpm and 75 Nm of maximum torque at 2000 rpm. It is also claimed to be offered with a good load carrying capacity and pick up. The power will be sent to the wheels through a five speed manual transmission. Along with this arrangement, the car will return around 22.07 kmpl of mileage as well as can hit the maximum speed up to 80 kmph.
Talking about the features, it comes with dual assist grip, charging socket, odometer, tripmeter, digital clock and fuel indicator. For the better braking facility, the front wheels has integrated with disc brake along with Load Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV). Some of the other attachment are rear reflector, rain guard, sliding back window glass and headlamp leveller.
Speaking on the event, R.S Kalsi, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki said, “Super Carry is designed and developed basis detailed research and understanding of customer requirements. It offers best of both the worlds –power and strength as well as carrying capacity. We are confident Super Carry will enhance the profitability of our customers. Super Carry will be initially available for sale in three cities: Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Ludhiana. It will be retailed through a dedicated ‘Commercial’ sales channel.”
