It is not a hidden fact that Maruti Suzuki is one of the leading brands in the automobile sector and is one of the largest car makers in the country. Two of Maruti's products - Maruti Swift and Maruti Dzire, have handsomely contributed towards enhancing the company's market share in the Indian passenger vehicle market. Swift, is one of the best models of the decade, which made new records every year crossing the last year barrier while DZire, launched in 2008, is India’s best-selling entry sedan for the last three years.

In 2014-15, Swift and Dzire maintained an average sale of over 17,000 units each per month and after getting this overwhelming success in both the models , Maruti Suzuki India is now planning to provide some features as an Add-On package in the pre-existing list of features both the models come equipped with. As per the official statement given by the company, one thing is sure that the models would be getting dual airbags and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as an option in all variants of Swift and Dzire, including the base variant.
As per MSI Executive Director R S Kalsi “Offering driver and co-driver airbags and ABS across all variants of Swift and Dzire, will further strengthen their popularity among customers,”. He also added that - Swift and Dzire are two of the most popular cars in India and both have played an instrumental role in shaping the Indian automobile industry. Currently, Swift and Dzire are selling in the price range of INR 4.8 - 7.4 Lacs and, INR 5.0 - 8.3 Lacs. Now with the additional features the new price range of Maruti Swift would fall in the range of INR 4.9 - 6.43 Lacs while Swift Dzire would be priced between INR 5.4 Lacs - 7.04 Lacs.
